A bit of Nostalgia..
Walter Elias Disney (December 5, 1901 - December 15, 1966) was an
American film producer, director, screenwriter, voice actor, and animator. As
the co-founder (with his brother Roy O. Disney.) of Walt Disney Productions,
Walt became one of the most well-known motion picture producers in the world.
The corporation which was a joint venture, now known as The Walt
Disney Company, today has annual revenues of approximately US $30 billion.
As a good storyteller and entertainer, Walt Disney later became the
founder of the greatest entertainment venue in the world. He was also known as
an innovator in amusement park design.
He and his staff produced a number of the world's most admired
animated characters, including the one many consider Disney's alter ego, Mickey
Mouse.
|
He is also famous as the namesake of the Disneyland and Walt Disney
World theme parks in the United States.
Having interest in art, Walt vended many of his paintings to the
neighbors. But an art loving man joined military during the 1918 crisis.
He started a company named Laugh-O-Grams, but unfortunately the
company became bankrupt and with only $20 he moved towards Hollywood,
California.
After "Alice Comedies" he became an international figure. And after
that he did not need to look back.
|
In 1932, for Flower and Trees Walt was awarded with Academy Award.
He dreamt of a systematic amusement park that later came to fruition when the
Disneyland Park opened in 1955. He was the first person who produced full-color
programming in 1961.
Everything in this realistic world has an end. And likewise this legendry person
left this mundane world on 15th December, 1966, California.
He will be alive through his amazing creations, optimism and wings of
imaginations. He will be alive in the smiles of thousands of infants which will
be there for Mickey.
